sewari cedar coasters
“sewari” is a word used to describe a wood working technique in Japan. Intentionally cut grooves control the drying process of wooden posts in architecture. The coasters are deliberately finished without any oil or varnish to encourage the scent of cedar. Light sanding or water can bring out more aroma if you enjoy the fragrance.
! Please note that due to the inconsistent organic quality of wood, the size of cut-out section and grain pattern on each coaster set varies. Also, some of the coaster have knots in them.
